The firm and its managing director, James A. Carroll, are registered, licensed and certified by the Texas Board of Professional Geoscientists. Excellent, Effective Project Planning - Evaluation - ExecutionFinal interpretation integrates geological, geophysical, petrophysical and engineering data in the form of depth and isopach maps and attendant graphs, tabulation and cross section within a comprehensive written report appropriately bound for presentation to clients and partners. Bell & Murphy utilizes in-house interpretative computer systems and 3D-work stations. Output from these efforts is available for audit by our client's staff and consulting groups. Additionally, we provide supervision of field acquisition and seismic processing of land and marine data. Examples of our velocity studies include Australia, Santa Barbara Channel, Anadarko Basin, Williston Basin, Baltimore Canyon, Alaska, Texas, New Mexico, North Sea and Indonesia. JAMES A. CARROLL
James A. Carroll, Managing Director of Bell & Murphy and Associates, LLC, is registered, licensed and certified by the Texas Board of Professional Geoscientists. Mr. Carroll joined Bell & Murphy in 1997 as a consulting geophysicist. He has more than 40 years of on- and off-shore domestic and international successes in oil and gas. Moreover, as a licensed professional geoscientist, he is qualified and has served as an expert witness in energy litigation cases. He has worked as an independent consultant in geophysics since 1992. Prior to joining the BMA technical team he was District Geophysicist with Santa Fe Minerals (1988-92), and Chief Geophysicist for Wessely Energy Company/TCPL Resources (1984-88). Prior to Wessely Energy, he held various management positions with Dome Petroleum, Gulf Oil Company and Delta Exploration Company. He holds active memberships in the Dallas Geophysical Society (past Officer), the International Society of Explosive Engineers, the Society of Exploration Geophysicist (Silver Certificate Member), the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (Silver Certificate Member) and the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers. Mr. Carroll received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Colorado State University with postgraduate studies at the University of Houston. At the community level, he serves on the Board of Directors of the Prestige Community Credit Union in Dallas.
